So glad you’re here! I’m a modern calligrapher based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. I specialise in all things event - calligraphy for invitations, envelopes, place-cards, table plans, personalised gifts and venue signage.

I also collaborate with brands to provide on-site calligraphy services, personalising products to make events extra-special!

I'm Kirsty

the hands behind Olivia Hope Calligraphy, a brand I named after my niece.  I took a 2 hour class in London in 2016 to polish up my already "swirly" handwriting for my upcoming wedding - 10 years later here I am writing an “about me” on my own calligraphy website!

In 2017, I started sharing some of my progress photos via a dedicated Instagram, and by some mad stroke of luck soon found commission requests popping into my inbox. I’ve had the massive privilege of working with some fantastic brands - from Michael Kors and Lisa Eldridge to Molton Brown and Chanel - and with lots of wonderful people.

My calligraphy style is organic, modern and effortless (or at least I like it to look that way - the hand cramp might say otherwise haha!).  My style is adaptable depending on the commission and it often varies depending on my chosen implement.  

When I’m not destroying my nails with ink, I’m a creative copywriter in B2B marketing!
